Serve, Grow, Change

Service as the practice of coming alongside our community friends in need is a central part of our
common life at St. Andrew's. Here are some opportunities to serve in the hope that in serving,
each of us may grow and change as we seek change in our world:

Helping Hands Suppers

Join a team and once a month offer a hot meal and a warm welcome
to those in our community who are hungry and in need.

Food Handlers Training Online

In order to be compliant with Health Department requirements, every volunteer who helps prepare food for the Hunger Supper must hold a current food handlers card. You can do your training and take the test online at:

Annual Service Opportunities

Through the year, members of St. Andrew’s, both young and older, join members of the wider Episcopal diocese
and the local community to offer service to the San Diego area. These opportunities include
the Balboa Park clean-up in January and the Back to School Bash in City Heights in August.

Community Outreach Events

At St. Andrew’s we believe in reaching out to our local community to share the good news of the life of faith we enjoy with one another. Every year, there are opportunities to join St. Andrew’s members and staff at: the Pacific Beach Fest, the PB Holiday Parade, Summer Fest, Bar Caroling in Pacific Beach, and taking part in the San Diego Pride Parade and Comi-Con.
Sign up for any and all of the above, and add another to the list if you think we are missing anything!
