community engagement

being present in pacific beach

At St. Andrew's, we value incarnational presence. We are a church in Pacific Beach and we strive to engage our great community. We do this by being curious about the physical needs and resources in PB. We connect with and build a network. We are present and visible in the community and we constantly strive to improve relationships with our neighbors. It's fun work--join us!

Hunger Supper

every tuesday, 6:30 - 7:15 pm

Come as you are and share the love and light of Christ in this community meal every week. Sign up to volunteer by emailing volunteer@standrewspb.org. Volunteers arrive at 5:30pm to set up, warm the food and prepare to welcome guests. We all eat together and then volunteers clean up the meal after it is done. We are usually finished by 7:45pm. If you have questions, email us!

support the hunger supper

donations keep it alive

Donations to the weekly Hunger Supper allow us to purchase the food we serve, plates, utensils, cleaning supplies, and to pay our staff to set up the room and clean up afterward. Every donation helps, no matter the size. Thank you for being generous!

Give Online

Compass station

a drop-in resource

We partner with the Compass Station to provide resources and support to people experiencing homelessness. We assist with computer access, device charging, document recovery, showers, laundry, mental health and substance use services, onsite nurses and housing options. Working with the Compass Station is one way our members begin to address homelessness in our community.

Rewild mission bay

restoring wetlands

St. Andrew's is a member of the coalition to ReWild Mission Bay. We support the efforts to enhance and rewild the wetlands in the northeast corner of Mission Bay. We care for creation through working for cleaner water, greater climate resiliency, and improved public access along the bayfront. We're protecting and enhancing the home of 144 different species of bird, and 56 native plants. ReWild works with our Kumeyaay neighbors to create opportunities for natural and cultural reconnection in an area the Kumeyaay called home for many centuries.
